Τα Game Awards, η ετήσια γιορτή των βιντεοπαιχνιδιών, θα πραγματοποιηθούν φέτος τον Δεκέμβριο, με τους υποψήφιους για το 2024 να έχουν ήδη ανακοινωθεί. Το 2023, τοBaldur’s Gate 3 κέρδισε το πολυπόθητο βραβείο του Καλύτερου Παιχνιδιού της Χρονιάς (Game of the Year). Φέτος, οι υποψήφιοι για το βραβείο αυτό περιλαμβάνουν τα Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth και Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Τα Astro Bot και Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth ξεχώρισαν με επτά υποψηφιότητες το καθένα, ενώ η Sony αναδείχθηκε ως ο εκδότης με τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες (16), ακολουθούμενη από τις Square Enix και Xbox με 12 υποψηφιότητες η καθεμία, και τη Sega με 11.
