Total petroleum product sales increased by 1.6% in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period in 2023, with an annual increase of 4.6% recorded in July alone.

Total petroleum product inventories at the end of July 2024 decreased by 36.4% compared to the end of the previous month.
Specifically, according to the Statistical Service, in July 2024, total petroleum product sales reached 134,484 tonnes, an increase of 4.6% compared to July 2023.
An increase was recorded in the supply of marine gasoil (11.9%) and aviation kerosene (0.6%), as well as in the sales of heavy fuel oil (14.5%), LPG (10.7%), heating oil (8.7%), road diesel (7.9%) and motor gasoline (7.4%).
On the other hand, according to the Statistical Service, sales of kerosene (-25.8%) and light fuel oil (-4.8%) decreased.
As regards in particular sales from filling stations, these increased by 7.7% to 60,678 tonnes.
On a monthly basis, total petroleum product sales in July 2024 compared to June 2024 showed a 5.6% increase.
Indicatively, a rise was recorded in the provisions of aviation kerosene (11,4%) and in the sales of road diesel (8,1%) and gasoline (7,5%), while total stocks of petroleum products at the end of July 2024 dropped by 36,4% compared to the end of the previous month.
