“Let’s not leave our dreams turn into ashes!” Fire Safety Week

CNP ASFALISTIKI and CYPRUS FIRE SERVICE for the 23rd consecutive year are organizing the Fire Safety Week. The aim is to raise public awareness on issues related to fire safety and the protection of property, the environment and above all, the protection of lives.

With the main message “Let’s not leave our dreams turn into ashes!” this year’s Fire Safety Week is organized from 22 to 28 April 2024, under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Justice and Public Order. The Fire Safety Week kicked off with a press conference which took place on April 22, at the Headquarters of the CNP CYPRUS. Greetings were addressed by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Marios Hartsiotis, the Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Nicos Logginos the CEO of CNP CYPRUS Mr. Takis Phidia and the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI, Mr. Andreas C. Stylianou.

The main event of the Fire Safety Week will be the Fire Safety Open Day that will take place on Saturday, April 27, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the NICOSIA MALL. In the event, the attendees will have the opportunity to see contemporary fire brigade vehicles and equipment and be informed by experts on the issues of fire prevention and extinguishing. At the same time, the children will enjoy specially designed activities for them, such as photo booth and stilt performance. The whole event will be supported by a live link. Executives of CNP ASFALISTIKI and the Cyprus Fire Service will offer to the public symbolic gifts and informative material on fire safety.
