On the occasion of the World Day of Safety and Health at Work, CNP ASFALISTIKI, the Labor Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labor & Social Insurance and the Cyprus Health & Safety Association held a special event titled “Climate change and health effects”.
The event took place on April 24, 2024, at the Amphitheatre of the Central Offices of the CNP CYPRUS Group in Nicosia and was attended by professionals from the Safety & Health sector.
The Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mr. Yiannis Panagiotou, under whose auspices the event was held, the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI, Mr. Andreas C. Stylianou and the President of the Cyprus Health & Safety Association, Mrs. Irene Chrysou, addressed greetings. The speakers were Dr. Chrysanthos Savvidis, Senior Labor Inspection Officer, Head of the Air Quality Branch, Dr. Panagiotis Kouis, Director of the LIFE MEDIA Project of the Medical School of the University of Cyprus and Dr. Theodoros Lytras, Assistant Professor, School of Public Health, European University of Cyprus.
An open discussion followed, and the participants exchanged views regarding the subject.
